Design Annual

January 2021 Design Annual

Historically, the Design Annual was published by the AIA Southwestern Oregon Chapter as an insert in Eugene’s Register-Guard newspaper. Following the consolidation into a single-state Chapter, the publication was opened to contributors from across Oregon.

The Design Annual serves two main purposes. To shine a light on design, and further elevate the profession in the eyes of the public, we depend on our members to contribute design-related articles, that are of interest to a wide audience. These articles will cover a vast variety of subject material all under a common theme. This year’s theme is “Inclusive Spaces.” The Design Annual also serves as a platform to publicly announce the winners of our state’s many design award programs. The current issue showcases the winners of the Eugene, Salem, and Southern Oregon People’s Choice Awards along with the winners of the 2020 Oregon Architecture Awards.
