Architects & Associates 

AIA membership offers licensed architects, interns, recent graduates and students a forum for furthering passion for design excellence, collaboration, and influence upon the creative and responsible design of our beloved Portland community. The AIA provides opportunities to learn, grow as a designer and advance your career.

ARCHITECT

Being part of AIA Oregon is more than just these three letters after your name. Membership is about community, passion, education and a commitment to elevating design as a platform for making our state and our region better.

Architect membership is open to individuals with an architectural license from a U.S. licensing authority.

ASSOCIATE (not yet licensed)

Associate membership is open to individuals who meet one of the following criteria: hold a professional degree in architecture; currently work under the supervision of an architect; currently enrolled in the Architectural Experience Program (AXP, formerly IDP) and working toward licensure; or faculty member in a university program in architecture.

Associate New Graduates

Free for new architecture school graduates, for up to 18 months! Terms and conditions apply. This membership category is open to first-time AIA members who have recently graduated with a professional degree in architecture within the past 18 months.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATE

International Associate membership is open to individuals who have an architecture license or equivalent from a non-US licensing authority regardless of their current location. Individuals who have a license from a US-authority are not eligible for the International Associate membership.

Allied Individuals

NATIONAL ALLIED INDIVIDUALS

This membership category (at the National level) is open to professionals in allied industries, including engineers, landscape architects, interior designers, urban and city planners, builders, construction professionals, owners, and more.
