Jericho Bankston, AIA
AIA Oregon Board President-Elect
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve as AIA Oregon’s incoming President. When I first became involved with AIA Oregon, I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into. What kept me coming back were the people, the relationships, and the opportunity to contribute to something larger. AIA Oregon is built on countless volunteer hours from members across the state who plan events, advocate for our profession, develop policy, mentor others, and do meaningful work within their communities. I am excited to see what we can continue building together.
Looking ahead, I want to continue building a more connected AIA Oregon, grow our volunteer base, support the next generation of leaders, and strengthen the relationship between our profession and the communities we serve. There is a lot of good work already happening, and there are always opportunities for more voices and perspectives to join the conversation. With several Board positions open, I hope some of you will consider getting involved, I am always available to serve as a resource and answer any questions you may have. I look forward to continuing to serve as a volunteer in AIA and mentor for the next generation of architects.
