Firm billings for April 2023
Architecture firm billings softened in April with a score of 48.5. A majority of firms also reported that they expect 2023 firm profitability to be equal to or higher than 2022 levels. The AIA/Deltek Architecture Billings Index, a leading indicator of nonresidential construction, is available to AIA members for free by contacting economics@aia.org.
Latest residential firm trends
The AIA's Home Design Trends Survey is a recognized source of emerging trends in residential design and business conditions at residential firms. The latest release shows trends relating to accessibility remain popular along with outdoor spaces. Meanwhile, project billings, inquiries, and design contracts showed modest weakness in Q1.
