Friendly Hall Tour
1 AIA LU|HSW
Lead by Elisa Rocha, TVA Architects
Stone Rose, Senior Superintendent, Partner, Bremik Construction
Martina Oxoby, Senior Owner’s Rep, UO Office of Design and Construction

The University of Oregon Friendly Hall Deferred Maintenance Project encompasses a full renovation of Friendly Hall – the University's third oldest building and future home of the Schnitzer School of Global Studies and Languages. Originally designed by architects Whidden & Lewis as a co-ed dormitory, the building was constructed in 1893 and received significant additions in 1909 and 1914. It was eventually converted to academic offices in 1932, a use it has maintained to the present day.

This project will eliminate deferred maintenance, reconfigure and modernize office and learning spaces, address seismic vulnerabilities, resolve accessibility limitations, and correct serious safety and security issues while preserving this historically significant building.

Join AIA Oregon for a construction tour of the ongoing work in Friendly Hall. Because there are a limited number of spaces, please register above to ensure your spot.

AIA Eugene Section Meeting (all are welcome)

The tour will last from 4-5pm(ish), after which we will gather at Lawrence Hall 115 to socialize, network, and hear from local folks who attended AIA26, as well a short presentation by Abe Kelso on the Northwest Center for Architecture. Refreshments and soft drinks will be available.

Register above for the tour, the section meeting, or both.
