A Letter From the UO College of Design - Mentoring Circles

Dear alumni and professional allies,

Due to the isolation caused by the pandemic, human connection is more important than ever. Our students are eager to learn about what it’s like to be involved in designing the built environment. Could you help them by connecting to students this fall? We hope that the small commitment of 3 to 4 meetings over 10 weeks can open up the opportunity to form ongoing relationships.

Mentoring Circles Participants will come together virtually to meet each other in small, informal groups. Each group will be led by a professional (or two) who guides up to six mentees in a conversation about a topic of common interest.

See the OAA Submission Requirement Materials Here

Remember that this year we have incorporated the AIA Framework for Design Excellence into the submission requirements. On August 18, we held a workshop to help answer questions about this and other submittal requirements. You can find the recording of that workshop at our Vimeo page HERE.

All entry submissions are online this year, go to our new Awards Platform to register and start your entries. This is the first time we have used this platform, so there are bound to be bugs; be sure to enter as soon as you can so we can identify and resolve them as quickly as possible.  If you run into any issues, please contact amorris@aiaoregon.org.
