Fellows Summer Social for New Oregon Licensees

  • Southwest Skyline Boulevard Portland, OR, 97221 United States (map)

An Exclusive Invitation for Oregon's Newest Architects!

We know you've worked incredibly hard to achieve your licensure, and we think you deserve a special celebration—and a chance to connect with some folks who've been where you are now.

Join us for a tour of two iconic masterpieces of Northwest modernism, the Watzek and Cottrell houses, offering invaluable lessons in site integration, material honesty, and progressive residential design. This tour will offer 1 AIA LU|HSW.

We will also hear from our colleague, Becca Cavell, FAIA, who will speak about the legacy of John Yeon and his works.  Bring your sketchbooks as well, as this is a unique opportunity to sit and sketch these amazing buildings – keeping our hands and our minds limber in a creative process😊.

This is also a unique opportunity to simply hang out and chat with AIA Oregon Fellows—these are the leaders who've really helped shape our state's architectural landscape. Think of it as a casual networking session where you can ask questions, get insights for your own professional journey, or just enjoy some great company.

Whether you're already an AIA member or you're thinking about joining, we'd be honored to have you join us for an afternoon of camaraderie, learning, and summer fun.

Space for this free event is limited, and it's exclusively for architects who received their licenses since January 1, 2025, and, of course, our AIA Oregon Fellows.

We can't wait to celebrate with you!
