What is the Watch Party?

Great question. We have managed to covertly set up a super-secret video feed of the awards event to live broadcast inside the IKE box and all of AIA Salem to join us in a clandestine community gathering of design.  It is low key and chill event for everyone to gather as friends, watch and talk about design. 

Who will be there?

You.  And if everyone attends, a lot of other “you’s” making this the marquee event of the year.

Is there a dress code?

No, but if you want dress like your favorite building to the event we will give you a gift card.

What if I don’t show up?

I will cry, also my dog will cry.  Don’t make us cry.

What if I have kids?

Bring them.  If they care about design of the built environment, which they should if we are being good stewards of the youth and our future, they should already be begging you to bring them along.  

Is this legal?

Yes*.  Or at least AIA Oregon is aware of it and hasn’t stopped it. 

Is there food?  I need to eat food between 6:00 & 9:00 pm, how can I watch a celebration? 

We got you covered!  FREE PIZZA!  And if you RSVP and tell me your favorite Pizza by Wednesday 10/22 and we will have it there.*  Unless it involves Pineapple then no promises.

Sometimes I get distracted will there be something there to help me stay engaged?

I get it.  We got you covered with watch party games to keep you engaged! 

Can I just watch from home?
