Significant changes to the ICC A117.1 Accessibility Standards, 2017 Edition, with 2022 OSSC Accessibility changes

Code Unlimited's accessibility team will be teaching a one and a half hour seminar "Significant changes to the ICC A117.1 Accessibility Standards, 2017 Edition, with 2022 OSSC Accessibility changes". With visual cues for the impact of these changes on existing and new facilities, the topics of Application and Administration will be addressed, followed by practical and technical criteria of the code. General Site and building elements will also be covered, along with the special conditions for unique spaces and built in furnishings. This seminar serves a guide to know what to look for to mitigate future risk and provide accommodating spaces for your projects.

Joshua Klyber has been leading the accessibility plan reviews and inspections for Code Unlimited for the past 7 years. He has worked on everything from small restaurant TI’s to military boarding school renovations. Having worked with a wide variety of architects, developers, and facility managers in multiple states, including California, he brings a breadth of knowledge and a variety of viewpoints to every project. He also brings a fervent curiosity for the gray areas of the code and the various design possibilities that lay within them.
